The Calendar 2007: 3rd Annual PCBA Calendar Show at San Francisco Center
for the Book, 300 De Haro, San Francisco December 8, 2006 through January 11, 2007 Opening Reception and Calendar Sale, December 8, 2006 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The 50 PCBA members participating in the Calendar Show have created one-of-a-kind calendars or editions of calendar works which draw on a range of techniques from traditional bookmaking craft skills to contemporary printmaking and digital technologies. Calendar sales will support the individual calendar artists, with a small percentage of each sale going to support PCBA as an organization. Join us on December 8 for a one-night seasonal celebration, exhibition opening reception, and Calendar Show Sale. Anticipate the sights and smells of the holidays with delicious home-baked cookies, hot apple cider, mulled wine, and the stunning work of PCBA members’ calendars for 2007 that stand, fold, pop-out, hang, and delight. You’ll find great gift ideas as well as places to record and keep track of your resolutions for the coming year. Bring your checkbook so you can be sure of being able to purchase the calendar(s) you want. (NB: If you purchase the last or only copy that is in the exhibition, you will have to wait until the end of the show to pick up your calendar.)
